I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you And I hope that you and your family are all well. As Salma explained I am trying to piece together our common lineage. In this regard I have a few questions that I would like to ask your father. By the way, please keep him my regards. I don't know if he remembers me but I met him in our village in 1987 or 88. If this is OK with you and with him let me know and I will send you some of the questions that I need answered. For your information, they are only questions regarding the names of long-lost relatives. Unfortunately, your father is the only one left that I can think of who can answer. سجل المحادثات  | Cousins, I want you to meet each other. Mohamed is a cousin who lives in Michigan in the United States and Muammar lives in Brazil. Your fathers are 1st cousins. Mohamed is working to build a family tree for the Okdi's. Uncle Khalil is the only one who's most knowledgeable about our family that I know of. Mohamed is the son of Ali and Afifi. Mohamed's Arabic is limited where uncle Khalil's English is nonexistent. Muammar, you are in the middle as you are proficient in both   . Mohamed met uncle Khalil in Qaroun in 1986. | ابنة اخي العزيزة سلمى ألف سلام طيب مثل هذا الصباح. بالنسبة للشجرة "الموقرة" معلوماتي جد ضحلة! لم اتعرف على احد من اجدادي حتى (كما تعلمين) ولا على والدي!
بالمناسبة: اليوم ذكرته بكلمة قالها لعمك (المرحوم) مشهور في رسالة "ولدي الكلب مشهور..!" ذكر ذلك لي عمك وبغير زعل! وقد تذكرت بذلك قولي ذات مرّة (جحش) بطريق المزح لابن عمك معمر في لبنان فأجابني بالطريق نفسه "والجحش ابن من؟" أمّا المرحوم عمك فلم يقل شيئا من ذلك لوالده!
